One of the most rewarding parts of my work as a Houston photographer is building long-term relationships with clients. A while back, I had photographed Wisam Ghuneim after he won a major case for another one of my clients. Following that session, Wisam reached out again, this time to bring in his brother Mo and their team at Ghuneim Law Firm for a full headshot and branding session.

The firm was looking for polished, consistent headshots and a set of branding portraits that could be used across their website, social media, and even large-format marketing like billboards.

Houston Law Firm Photography in Studio

The attorneys came to my studio in Downtown Houston, where my first focus is always creating a comfortable client experience. The space is designed with a classic mid-century modern vibe, complete with comfortable chairs, drinks on hand, and good music playing. A relaxed environment helps put clients at ease, which is especially important when photographing attorneys who need to project both confidence and approachability.

Behind the Scenes of a Law Firm Portrait Session

We began with headshots, photographed using the Fujifilm GFX 100II and alternating between the GF 45–100mm for group portraits and the GF 110mm for individuals. I tethered directly into Adobe Lightroom, which allowed the team to view the images in real time. This back-and-forth is one of my favorite parts of a session. It gives clients immediate feedback, lets them refine their preferences, and helps ensure that every image feels authentic to their brand.

After wrapping the headshots, I rolled down a long dark blue seamless backdrop to shoot full-body portraits. I had researched Ghuneim Law Firm’s brand identity ahead of time and noted that blue was a key brand color. Incorporating it into the portraits ensured that the images would fit seamlessly into the firm’s marketing materials — whether on their website, social platforms, or a Houston billboard.

Houston Law Firm Headshots and Results

The results were exactly what the firm was hoping for. The headshots were polished and professional, presenting the attorneys as authoritative and trustworthy. The full-body portraits added another dimension, giving each lawyer room to showcase their individuality and approachability.

Why Professional Photography Matters for Law Firms

For law firms, first impressions matter. Potential clients often decide who to call based on what they see online. Professional attorney headshots and branding portraits help create confidence from the very first click.

Photography for law firms needs to balance professionalism with personality. Clients want attorneys who not only look capable but also approachable. A consistent set of images ensures that a firm’s brand identity carries across every platform, from websites to LinkedIn to large-scale marketing.

If your firm is ready to refresh its imagery, investing in professional law firm photography in Houston is one of the most effective ways to build authority and connect with clients.
