The short version: we use what you send us to answer you and run your session, and we use standard analytics and advertising tools to see how the site is used. We don't sell your contact details.
Who we are

What you send us
The contact form and the discovery call scheduler are run by 17hats, the software we use to manage clients. What you enter (such as your name, email, phone number, message, and the time you pick) goes to 17hats and to us. You can also reach us directly by phone, text, or email.
We use it to reply to you, schedule and run your session, deliver your photos, and send invoices. 17hats handles it under its own privacy policy.
What's collected automatically
Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, tells us which pages are visited, how people found the site, the type of device and browser, approximate location (city level), how far people scroll, and clicks on booking buttons, phone numbers, email links, and social links. It uses cookies. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The Meta Pixel tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) which pages you visit and when you take certain steps, such as sending the contact form or booking a call, so we can measure and show ads on those platforms. If you're logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may connect this to your account. See Meta's privacy policy.
Cloudflare hosts this site. Like any web host, it processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The fonts, the video, and the Instagram photos on this site are served from our own site, so viewing them doesn't send anything to Google Fonts, YouTube, or Instagram. Instagram and LinkedIn only see your visit if you click through to them.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your contact details. We share information only with the services that help us run the business, as described above: 17hats, Google, Meta, and Cloudflare. Client galleries are hosted separately by SmugMug, under its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
- Control the ads Meta shows you in your Facebook ad preferences.
- Ask to see, correct, or delete what you've sent us: email howdy@andrewstrother.com.

The portraits on this site are client work. If you're in one and would like it taken down, email howdy@andrewstrother.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
This site is for adults and businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We update this page when the tools we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
